tokujin yoshioka

Tokujin Yoshioka worked under Shrio Kuramata and Issey Miyake before establishing his own studio in 2000. He has collaborated with various companies such as Hermes, Toyota, BMW and Swarovski. Yoshioka has designed a number of pieces that have commanded a great deal of public attention. His paper chair “Honey-Pop”, 2001 and the “Stardust” chandelier for Swarovski are the most noted. His pieces have often been evaluated as art rather than simply design. Some of his most important pieces are displayed as part of the permanent collections in many of the world’s museums.
