serge mouille
In 1953, Serge Mouille developed the 3 arm standing lamp. Merging innovative design with aluminum “nipple” shaped shades to maximize their reflective quality, he created a modern masterpiece. Featured in the Steph Simon Gallery in Paris in 1956, alongside important design figures such as Prouve, Noguchi, and Perriand, Mouille’s lighting was favored by architects, as well as avant-garde collectors. This collection is the only licensed re-edition with each piece individually numbered and dry-stamped with the date of manufacture. Due to the rarity of Serge Mouille lighting, his spouse Gin Mouille decided to introduce this new edition originally designed in the early 1950’s. The original precision craftsmanship is applied to this edition to maintain the integrity of the early work. Each shade is produced with the use of original molds, proportions, materials and techniques. Each piece is stamped and numbered.
