verner panton

The Danish designer and architect Verner Panton was one of the most innovative of all 20th-century designers, exerting a lasting and far-reaching influence through his sculptural designs, some of them playfully futuristic, and the vividly colored works he created. Panton was not obstructed by the limitations that adults incur throughout life. Instead, he thought and created with the imaginary vision of a child utilizing bold beautiful colors and shapes. Panton envisioned a colorful future. His career was highlighted by the Fantasy landscapes he created for Bayer in 1968 and 1970 (Dalon & Visiona II) that have now achieved cult status. He departed this world way too early in 1998 but his vision lives on and an entire new generation is still discovering his magical world every day. The Danish visionary Verner Panton’s designs are amongst the most groundbreaking of the Twentieth Century and are found in museum collections around the world.
