The Swarm chandelier is composed of 16,000 hand threaded black crystals which make up a complex pattern of forms in Zaha Hadid’s trademark style of fluid, spatial dynamics. The effect is of a slow motion, controlled explosion where individual, organic forms with seemingly little relation are brought together as a monumental whole in the chandelier. A feat of manufacturing, the chandelier was designed using sophisticated digital modelling tools with each crystal being meticulously hand threaded.
