Self-taught, award wining designer Reza Feiz works within his philosophy of strength in simplicity using solid woods, metal and fiberglass. Having founded PHASE in 2000, Reza’s designs balance physicality with functionality. Reza draws upon both California and the greater global community of design for inspiration. He is influenced by the work of mid-century designers and architects like Koning, Neutra and Schindler. Surrounded by these architectural examples of strength and simplicity, Reza strives to capture the modernist tenets of proportion and clarity. Though he takes inspiration from his mid-century surroundings, he also imbues his work with a 21st century edge, making them relevant to the constantly evolving contemporary environment. Los Angeles Magazine named Feiz as one of the city’s hottest designers in its July 2006 issue.
